Christianity On Stamps - A Wonderful Thematic Collection: A fabulous collection in twelve huge albums, beautifully assembled from between the mid 1960's and the end of the 1970's by a prominent member of the Guild of St Gabriel, a movement dedicated to the collecting of stamps with a religious theme, and Patron Saint of Stamp Collecting. Packed with many thousands of mostly mint stamps, plus miniature sheets, cards, and covers generally from the 1920's to 1979, with some earlier items, each volume is carefully arranged on neatly hand written pages detailing the issue dates and a wealth of background information. The subjects covered in this theme is vast and includes Churches, Saints, Our Lady, Councils, Congresses, Art, Angels, Festivals, and so much more. This spectacular collection is offered here intact with nothing added or taken out, and is in ten convenient lots by subject as the original collector intended, plus a balance lot. It must have all been kept in some draughty sacristy or church hall for many years as some of the pages have been affected by cold conditions, but many of the stamps are clean and fine, and not withstanding this is quite possibly unique and to reassemble anything of this magnitude would probably take many years of patient dedication.
