AMERICAN SAMOA GERCHOCK CORRESPONDENCE - 1943 group of nine covers and an Airgraph (with its cover) from a John Gerchock, covers with their letter contents are all addressed to his mother in Long Beach, California, the Airgraph to a friend. The first letter dated 30th January 1943 gives his address as "Navy Seven One Two (712)" which is recorded as Tutuila, Samoa, his address is changed to "MTB Base 7, Navy One Two Nine (129)" by 14th June 1943, still at Tutuila, eight covers with Naval Censor cachet on front, some roughly opened, but largely intact, lot accompanied by some information regarding potential movements of our writer (10 covers).
