GEMOLOGY A delightful matching pair of covers from Loch & Co of London (the hat makers, of Hatton Row) to Precious Stone dealers, each bearing the GB 2½d blue, one sent to "Mandalay / Upper Burmah", the other sent to "Bangkok, Siam". Each undelivered with an array of transit markings including the Dead Letter Offices at Rangoon & Bombay, eventually returned to England with matching Returned Letter Office cachets. Rather splendid!
