1941. Air Mail envelope written on the Thai/Malay border addressed to Denmark bearing Thailand SG 289, 15s blue (uncancelled) endorsed ‘via Bangkok, Japan, Manchukou, Siberia, U.S.S.R., Finland and Sweden' cancelled on reverse by Hat Yai railway date stamp, routed then via Penang with censor tape tied by boxed ‘Opened by/11/Censor', framed ‘Retour' and hand-stamp instructional ‘Postal Communication/Suspended' with oval ‘Dead Letter Office/Penang' (28 No 40) and returned via Bangkok with ‘Post & Telegraph of Thailand/Officially Sealed' label tied by South Express railway date stamp in violet. Extraordinary item of Interrupted mail. Cannot be forwarded via Siberia because of the Russian/Finish War and the Pacific due to Pearl Harbour (8th Dec). Only three recorded of the hand-stamp ‘Postal Communication Suspended'.
This Lot is under the margin tax system (§25a UStG). The VAT (MWSt) is not displayed seperate on the bill.

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
