INCREDIBLE 1856 TO 1936 MINT COMMONWEALTH COLLECTION! A Stanley Gibbons "NEW IDEAL" Volume 1 album for the British Empire, well- filled with a very fine collection of MINT stamps from Aitutaki, Alwar, Antigua & Ascension through to Western Australia, Zanzibar and Zululand. It would be unusual to find a collection of used stamps with this level of completion, so this mint collection almost defies description! There are many complete sets and higher values here, perhaps page 1 (Aitutaki) including 5 complete sets and cataloguing £220+ is typical, we continue to Antigua which includes KGV values to £1 catalogues over £1250, Ascension catalogues £600+ and onwards with similar ranges throughout the entire album including some early classic stamps such as the Cape of Good Hope 1855-63 4d deep blue on white triangular SG 6 (£1100 and superb), also many of those grand old KEVII & KGV sets such as the Cayman Is 1932 Centenary set SG 84/95 and 1935 Pictorials set SG 96/107, Cyprus British Rule set SG 123/32, East Africa 1904-07 set SG 17/30, New Guinea 1932 Air set SG 190/203, Tanganyika 1917 "G.E.A." set SG 45/62 plus many others through to the Zanzibar 1936 set SG 310/22; also unusual areas including good Indian states such as Nabha with the 1885-00 red opt'd set & black opt'd values to 3r & 5r, Patiala with the 1884 red opt'd set (less 8a), 1885 1a "AUTTIALLA" error etc, Bushire British Occupation, Mafeking Siege 1900 3d on 1d SG 3, New Republic values to 10s, the Australian states - plus so much else. Simply impossible to fully describe but we have added many images to our website plus a video which together may help paint the 'full picture' of this amazing project from Aitutaki 1903 ½d green SG 1 through to the last stamp which is Zululand 1894-96 2s6d SG 26! Highly recommended, the condition is almost without exception very fine and fresh throughout (approx 6400 stamps) For more images, please visit https://www.sandafayre.com/itemdetails.aspx?s=614190
