1938-47 DEFINITIVES MARVELLOUS ASSEMBLY An extensive semi-specialised mostly mint assembly of the 1938-47 King George VI "Badge of the Colony" definitives, SG 248/256a, with minor plate varieties, pairs (some with marginal inscriptions), blocks etc, and which contains several complete mint sets of 16, plus lovely mint (or never hinged mint) ranges in quantity with all perfs and shades represented except the good 1d scarlet perf 13½ x 13 (SG 249), including for example: ½d green perf 13½ x 13 x41, ½d green perf 14 x3, 1d scarlet perf 14 x18, 1s olive-green x17, 2s6d x25, and 5s x11, plus 1947 1d on 2d surcharges (both types) range. Also with used ranges to 5s x4, and with several pages of unchecked used stamps. Lovely fresh condition, cat over £2,300 for the mint stamps alone.
