1842 - 1866 POSTAL HISTORY COLLECTION Interesting range of pre-stamp and franked covers including 1844 pre-stamp Pictou to Scotland, 1846 pre-stamp Halifax to London, 1859 pre-stamp New Glasgow to Wick, superb1865 pre-stamp from Kingston, Jamaica to Ragged Islands, Nova Scotia forwarded in New York, Boston and with fine strike in red of 5 line Halifax/Paid/Feb 22/1865/Nova Scotia and rated 5cts, 1866 pre-stamp Halifax to Kentville, NS, selection of 5 covers franked 1851-7 3d blue (shades), 1861 EL from Halifax to Ragged Islands with Locks Is cds transit on reverse, franked 1860 - 3 5c blue, also same franking on cover to Pictou but tied by barred oval with additional oval 5c rating mark.
