1857 TO 1936 SPECIALIZED COLLECTION A collection of mint & used stamps arranged on Davo hingeless printed album leaves with additional items either tucked beneath other stamps or on stock page / cards affixed to the unprinted facing page, or stamps arranged on extra blank pages with interesting information and illustrations. Begins with Chalon classic imperfs (58) & perfs (30) with complete sets & values to 1s, some mint etc; 1874-1900 "Sidefaces" with values to the 2s deep rose & 5s grey, also mint values, used blocks 4, adverts on reverse stamps (60) with vals to 1s; 1898-1907 Pictorials with values to the perf 12-16 5s vermilion very fine used SG 259 & the perf 11 no wmk 5s carmine- red mint SG 270a, including many other stamps incl mint multiples, a specialized identified group of the ½d green Mount Cook stamps; 1901 1d "Universals" incl "Q" & 'broken globe' flaws, used blocks etc; KEVII period well- represented with both m & u complete sets, 1913 Exhibition set mint plus mint multiples etc; KGV very well- represented with loads of complete sets both m & u plus mint multiples such as the 1926 2s light blue mint strip 4 SG 469, plus so much else through to the 1935-36 Pictorials set mint. A fabulous lot with areas of great specialization alongside other areas barely checked including the early Chalons. A tremendous collection with many nice surprises!
