1864-73 PERFORATED "CHALONS" COLLECTION A used collection with a good range of shades presented on album pages which includes 1864-67, watermark Large Star, perf 12½ at Auckland, 1d carmine-vermilion x2, 1d pale-orange-vermilion, 1d vermilion x2, and 1d orange x3, 2d blue (plate 1) x3, 2d blue (plate 2) four different shades, 3d lilac three shades plus 3d deep mauve, 4d deep rose, 4d yellow x3, 6d deep red-brown x2, 6d red-brown x3, and 6d brown x2, plus 1s green three different shades, 1871-72 watermark Large Star, new colours, (perf 10) 1d red-brown, (perf 10 x 12½) 1d red-brown, and 2d orange three shades, then (perf 12½) 1d brown, 1d red-brown x2, 2d orange three shades plus 2d orange-vermilion, and 6d blue x6, plus 1873 no watermark 2d vermilion.
