1944. Registered envelope written from 'Gora Julja Polish Settlement Camp 2, Masindi, Uganda' addressed to New York bearing Kenya SG 139, 20c orange and black (3) tied by Masindi 2/ Uganda double ring '24th Nov 44' with 'R' label tied by hand-struck 'Polish Refugee Camp / Masindi', routed via Mombassa '4th Dec' with New York/Reg arrival '7/3' and forwarded to Jamaica/N. Y. 'Mar 13' in violet on reverse. Very rare item from Masindi Polish Camp. The mail operated by the Polish Red Cross and conveyed in the British Commander's car to the Post Office.
This Lot is under the margin tax system (§25a UStG). The VAT (MWSt) is not displayed seperate on the bill.

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
