1857/1871: Three covers to Scotland, with mourning cover 1857 from Calcutta to Portobello, Edinburgh franked 4a. black on bluish glazed paper, 1871 mourning cover from Veeravaseram to Beauly franked 1866 4a. pair tied by small numeral "282" in large diamond of bars, and 1871 cover from Calcutta to Ayr also franked 4a. pair tied by blue numeral "B/1", in slightly mixed condition, from good to fine.

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
