1895, the Chitral Relief Force: cover with QV 6d canc. "FIELD P.O. No. 22 MY. 5 95" to England, with postal seal "found ofen and officially selated" tied "EASTBOURNE", FPO and Sea Post transits on reverse. Includes 8 pp. letter from Captain Kenneth Buchanan to his Father, General Buchanan. Written 3rd May from Jamabatai. Writer was present at the relief and also at Malakand and at the siege of Chitral.
This Lot is under the margin tax system (§25a UStG). The VAT (MWSt) is not displayed seperate on the bill.

Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
