1855-1900 SURFACE PRINTED USED COLLECTION - CAT. £24,500 presented on large album pages, we see a good basic collection with many highly catalogued stamps, incl. 1855-7 no corner letters 4d wmk Small Garter & 4d wmk Medium Garter, plus 6d & 1s shades, 1862-4 4d shades with and without hairlines, 9d straw, 1s green, 1865-7 3d, 4d plates 7 to 14, 1s with shades, 1867-80 3d plates 5 to 10, 9d straw & pale straw shades, 10d, 1s x3 two with attractive, dated cancels, 1872-3 6d grey, 1867-83 5s plate 1 rose & pale rose shades, plus plate 2 pale rose shade, 1873-80 2½d wmk Anchor plates 1 to 3, wmk Orb plates 3 to 17, 2½d blue, 3d rose & 1s green with all the (normal) plates, 4d vermilion, 4d sage-green plates 15 & 16, 8d orange, 1880-3 wmk Crown all values & plates, 1880-1 to 2d, 1881 1d die I, 1883-4 high values to 10s, both 5s with dated cancels, 1883 lilac & greens set, 1887-92 & 1900 Jubilee issue including £1 green with neat cancels.
