1854, complete folded letter, written "Penang 19th April 1854", with ms "overlandmail", carried by privat forwarding agent to the States, there given to the US Postal Service in Boston and franked with 3 C. (Sc. 11), in red "BOSTON 27 JUN 3 cts.", and send to Hopkinton with arrival mark "JUL 4". The letter was undeliverable and was newly franked with 3 C. (Sc. 11) and then sent to Bangor/Maine. Very scarce destination mail! ÷ 1854, vollständiger Faltbrief, geschrieben "Penang 19/April/1854", durch privaten Forwarding-Agenten per "overlandmail" in die USA befördert, in Boston der amerikanischen Post übergeben, frankiert mit 3 Cent "PAID", ng. K1 rot "BOSTON 27/JUN/3 cts." und nach Hopkinton versandt. Der Brief war nicht zustellbar, wurde erneut mit 3 Cent frankiert und ab Hopkinton am 4. Juli nach Bangor/Maine der Empfängerin zugestellt. Ein Destinationsbrief allergrößter Seltenheit, möglicherweise einzig bekannter Brief aus dieser frühen Periode von Penang in die USA. Fotoattest APS (Sc.11.)

Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
