1941. Registered New Zealand 'On Active Service' Air Mail envelope written from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force cancelled by circular 'N.Z.E.F./Field 2' hand-stamp in violet with framed 'Censored/Signature' in crimson on face, endorsed 'Hold' and sent on the First Trans-Pacific Flight Auckland bearing Fiji SG 254, 2d green and brown, SG 257, 3d blue (placed over the edge, short teeth) and SG 262, 1s black/yellow tied by Suva-Fiji/Registered date stamp '9 No 41' with hand-stamp 'First Transpacific Airmail/Suva, Fiji to Auckland, N.Z.' on face in violet and forwarded on arrival to Wellington. Superb item of registered mail from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force held for the First Air Mail Service. Unique.

Christoph Gärtner made his hobby into his profession. He started in 1984 and within two decades the Gärtner GmbH developed into a world leading mail order house for postal stationery and became a specialist for thematics and postal history.
In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
