CAPE OF GOOD HOPE AMAZING ESTATE BALANCE - we received a box full of unsorted SA Colonies at our offices that we simply split into Cape, Natal, O.F.S., Transvaal or Zululand and offer here - CAPE - begins with a quantity of used triangular issues to 1s, note 4d pale milky blue "Wood-block" (cat.£2000 and presentable example), stock pages crammed with Seated Hope & KEVII issues, pages of mostly 1d values with possible postmark interest, we see many clear & almost full postmarks, some on piece, several cork (fancy) cancels, note 1d with fascinating manuscript inscription (see scan), KEVII issues to 5s used, 1s mint, many REVENUES spotted throughout this lot with range of embossed, lovely £5 blue with big margins, QV stamps to £5, KEVII to £2 with better values such as ½d & 7s6d, few Entertainment Tax seen. Enormous catalogue value, perfect for a careful sort through, there must be some items waiting to be discovered (1000s).
