1830 Letter from Meerut to Inverness, Scotland via Portsmouth bearing the scarce "MERUT/ /Pt.Pd." oval h/s in black, and red England '11 Mar' and '13 Mar' arrival datestamps on back, boxed "INDIA LETTER/PORTSMOUTH" in red and boxed "1/2" Scottish add. rate h/s in black on front. Small parts of letter missing inside and minor imperfections, but still an interesting letter with a good strike of the Meerut handstamp.
Value Add Taxes (19%) will be added to the hammer price and the buyers premium.

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
