Ninoshima, 1920, money letter envelope (opened three sides, as usual with addressee) insured for 5 Yen pmkd. "Ujina 9.1.20" (Jan 20, 1920) with boxed red "SdPdG / Censorship passed / Ninoshima POW camp" (five strikes, also on violet paper seals) to Tokyo-Akasaka, Mr. W. Landgraf w. Jan 22 arrival. Sender was POW Max Artelt, the notorious "escape king", who had been released from civilian prison for attempted escape just five days before. - Mounted on page with english description, from a late specialist collector from Wales.
This Lot is under the margin tax system (§25a UStG). The VAT (MWSt) is not displayed seperate on the bill.

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
