1940-45 "FREE FRENCH FORCES WWII": Specialized collection of more than 250 covers and postcards from/to the French Forces during WWII, well written up on leaves with a lot of information, accompanied by a lot of photographs, picture postcards (incl. propaganda), few miniature sheets, original medals etc., plus a box with comprehensive part literature (books, censor mark catalogues, articles, photographs etc.). A fascinating collection starting with a 1940 cover to General de Gaulle, many covers with rare military handstamps and censor marks, mail from French Colonies etc. like Syria, Lebanon, French India, and hundreds of interesting items and detailed information more.

Christoph Gärtner made his hobby into his profession. He started in 1984 and within two decades the Gärtner GmbH developed into a world leading mail order house for postal stationery and became a specialist for thematics and postal history.
In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
