A rare and important cover for the specialist; this is the only recorded 7 PIASTRE First issue franking, letters adressed to Upper Egypt , until post offices opened, were rated bon distance, time and weight akin to the former Ottoman system. Ex. BYAM(1961). GREAT RARITY.
