1864: THE USED BLOCK OF 28 OF THE 10c. PERFORATED 11½.
'Rivadavia' 10c. green, dull to worn impression, perforated 11½, block of 28, cancelled by straightline "CERTIFICADO" and florets of Mendosa. The block was trimmed from the sheet, as were the vast majority of the stamps of this first perforated issue, as the separation attempt was not very successful, and there are a few wrinkles and small tears as would be expected in such a large multiple, however, this block is THE MOST IMPORTANT MULTIPLE OF THE RIVADAVIA ISSUE, and an EXHIBITION PIECE OF THE FIRST MAGNITUDE. (A Holcombe certificate was lost, but his signature is still on back of the bottom right stamp.) Ex Hubbard, Pack and Alemany collections. ÷ 1862 'Rivadavia' 10c verde, impresión borrosa, el espectacular bloque de 28, obliterado en Mendoza, dividido del pliego completo con tijeras lo que hizo desaparecer de dentado a la derecha, leves pliegues que no valen la pena mencionar.
