1851 3d dull red (SG 2) SUPERB example with 4 good to huge neat margins tied to very fine letter sheet by oval of bars cancellation, addressed to Monctau, on reverse "Petticodiac" cds of 27 June 1857, "W. O. Douglas-Town" of 28 June & "Chatham" transit cds's. A very beautiful franking, the stamp lightly cancelled with lovely original colour, the cover free from discolouration. Signed by Peter Holcome with his photo certificate, also a photo cert from Heinrich Saloman. Rare in this condition.
