PLEASE NOTE: I am a retired gem buyer who raises money for animal charities. Please read important notes below at least once, as they apply to all jewellery listings.
In most cases , stones were mounted in settings by students (after the gemstones had been appraised.) This is to your advantage! In most cases we make no charge for the settings or chains .... the value is in the gemstone, and that is what the selling price is determined from. All gemstones have been examined by a gemologist.
My 39

IMPORTANT NOTES RELATED TO ALL ITEMS WE SELL.
PLEASE READ AT LEAST ONCE:
Shipping will be charged at rate post office charges. We combine whenever possible for best rate.
All gemstones have been examined by a gemologist and are genuine, earth mined stones, not lab produced as is often the case these days.Often the gemologist that did the inspection was Lee Rock, one of only 80 master valuers in all of Canada!
Unless stated otherwise, Small accent stones are quality cz that sparkle like diamonds..
Earth mined gems are a good investment as they go up in value....lab produced items do not !!. Most settings are stamped .925, and coated in rhodium to give appearance of white gold.We cannot test the silver content, as to do so would damage the rhodium coating. Rhodium is a precious metal, actually more expensive than gold itself. All gold is yellow, and even if other metals are added to it, the yellow color always remains . Rhodium coating is used on ALL white gold items to give them the white appearance that is so popular today. Chains when included are at no charge as they were part of my left over stock. Any chain included may or may not be stamped .925 but is not tested for the same reason mentioned above.....
925 means there are 925 parts silver per 1,000. These days, some items are marked .925 when the actual silver content is not .925. It would cost a significant amount to check and repair any damage thus caused, so as I clear out stock, I prefer not to charge for chains or settings at all! You are paying less than the value of the gem stone in almost all cases. Most settings are probably .925 silver, but I cannot be sure.
