1942 Vintage WW2 Woodbury Facial Soap AD- Naval Officer kisses lovely girl in forest glade. Beautiful Original Color Ad taken from an issue of Ladies Home Journal. Romance was in the air during the war- and often a little racier than one would expect. This ad is simply gorgeous- the color and texture have a painterly quality- even the description is a little racy- A moment bright with rapture, and suddenly you know Winged ecstasy, set to shimmering music. Wood bury had been around for years but was definitely revived by it's new more frankly sensual attitude- for the skin you love to touch. The scene is bright and vivid in person- ad measures 11 x 14- will be wonderful with any decor.
