Hello,
Maybe I don't know better, but I am under the assumption that stamps should not be sold before the post office release date, is this correct?
Regards and happy collecting.

hola stampsellos,
if it is a usps issue, get some on cover and have them postmarked. you will be glad you did. they will be more valuable than a first day cover. just F.Y.I. from an old collector and delcampe member. :wink2:

I was wondering where the smile came into this. I suppose it is when they have indeed increased in value.

bonsoir BK,
i read linn's stamp news weekly and know about what are known as 'EKU' covers or 'earliest known use'. they are highly sought after by collectors and command premium prices above FDC'S. some stamps were not even released to the public e.g., the rare 'recalled' legends of the west issue, scott #2870 with incorrect image of the cowboy, bill pickett. so the answer is yes, these stamps can be very valuable.

hey bdog,
i don't pay either being on disability. and the wife don't complain. 45 years of collecting is a long time, just been doin' it since i was a kid. always loved stamps. now i have a wonderful french and colonies collection. i just hope i can get one of them grandkids interested in the hobby. them damn video games get too much of their attention. :pc_user2::angryfire:and they don't learn squat from them, well most of them. :what::pc_user3:
