WWII SURRENDER LEAFLETS FOR THE ITALIAN ARMY IN RUSSIA 1942-1943 interesting collection of all different printed propaganda surrender leaflets housed in a sheet album. The leaflets were produced by the Russians and distributed between Italian soldiers fighting as allies of the Germans on the Eastern Front during the Second World War. The leaflets inform about Russian military successes and German & Italian losses, show 'a happy life' of Italian prisoners of war in the Russian captivity, urge Italian soldiers & officers to surrender, ridicule Mussolini & Hitler etc. Some leaflets are illustrated, many are related to the Battle of Stalingrad where the majority of the Italian forces in Russia were destroyed.
