Gli sfizi di posta sono «pezzi» snelli, contenuti, immediati, e soprattutto curiosi, divertenti, intriganti. Trenta «sfizi» inediti, storie di vissuti e spaccati di quotidianità che rivivono grazie ai documenti postali.
Aneddoti e storie raccontati utilizzando lettere, cartoline, telegrammi, osservandone affrancature, bolli di partenza, di arrivo, di transito, di censura postale e indagandone i vari mondi sottesi.
In una sequenza di documenti postali, scelti in un arco temporale che va dal 1820 al 1949, incontriamo storie di matrimoni di un tempo, catastrofi naturali, beghe di paese, la tragedia di due guerre, Silvio Pellico, Umberto Nobile, Cesare Pavese.
Uomini e donne nel loro pubblico o privato, attori di piccoli e grandi fatti che hanno alimentato la Storia, cristallizzati nella memoria postale, riportati in vita per il tempo di una breve lettura.
Per alcuni ‘sfizi' il lettore riscontrerà un box dal titolo «L'occhio del grafologo» all'interno del quale Mirka Mantoan, Criminalista esperto in Scienze Forensi, specializzata in Grafologia peritale-giudiziaria, Perito e Consulente Grafologo iscritto al Tribunale Civile e Penale di Verona, approfondirà gli aspetti grafologici del testo corsivo di alcuni scritti sì da tracciare il profilo caratteriale dei protagonisti.

The «sfizi di posta», in this volume 30 never published before, are "pieces" that are streamlined, short, immediate, and above all curious, fun, intriguing.
Anecdotes and stories told using letters, postcards, telegrams, observing their postage, postmarks of departure, arrival, transit and postal censorship and investigating the various underlying worlds. In a sequence of postal documents, chosen in a time span ranging from 1820 to 1949, we encounter stories of marriages of the past, natural disasters, village squabbles, the tragedy of two wars, Silvio Pellico, Umberto Nobile, Cesare Pavese.
Men and women in their public or private lives, actors in small and large events that have fuelled history, crystallized in postal memories, brought to life for the time of a brief reading.
For some 'sfizi' the reader will find a box entitled "The eye of the graphologist" in which Mirka Mantoan, Criminalist expert in Forensic Sciences, specialized in expert-judicial Graphology, Expert and Consultant Graphologist registered with the Civil and Criminal Court of Verona, will delve into the graphological aspects of the cursive text of some writings in order to trace the character profile of the protagonists.
