Descrizione: Vendo cartolina d´epoca proveniente da una nutrita collezione che ricalca la storia, la vita e gli spostamenti in giro per il mondo di una famiglia di luminari della scienza medica, cattedratici che hanno dato un apporto fondamentale all´evoluzione della Medicina fin dai primi del ´900. Deputato della Repubblica Italiana, nonché generale medico durante la prima guerra mondiale, il capostipite della famiglia morì appena un anno prima del conferimento del Premio Nobel, attribuito erroneamente a un team di medici americani che rivendicarono la paternità di sua rivoluzionaria scoperta in ambito endocrinologico. Solo in seguito il CNR riuscì tramite una commissione di esperti a rendergli giustizia. La città di Napoli gli ha dedicato una strada, mentre a Pietra Ligure esiste una piazza che porta il nome di suo figlio, anch´egli insigne scienziato. I sell vintage postcard coming from a large collection that traces the history, life and movement around the world of a family of luminaires in medical science, magisterials that gave a fundamental contribution to the evolution of medicine since the early ´ 900. Member of the Italian Republic, as well as physician General during World War I, the founder of the family died just one year before the awarding of the Nobel Prize, misattributed to a team of American doctors who claimed authorship of his groundbreaking discovery in endocrinologic field. Only after the CNR was able through a Committee of experts to do it justice. The city of Naples has dedicated a street, while in Pietra Ligure there is a square that bears the name of his son, also a distinguished scientist.
