Marius Daniel Urzică (born September 30, 1975, in Topliţa, Romania)
is a Romanian gymnast. Urzică is an Olympic champion, a three-time world champion and a three-time European champion on pommel horse. He competed at three Olympic games, medaling each time on pommel horse (gold Sydney 2000, silver Atlanta 1996 and silver Athena 2004) and contributed to the team bronze in Athens 2004. His unique technique and style of performance have won him the recognition as one of the greatest masters on this piece of apparatus ever, together with Miroslav Cerar and Zoltán Magyar.[2] Known as "The King of the Pommels" in 2001 he achieved the maximum score of 10.00 on this piece of apparatus at the Glasgow Grand Prix.[2][3] Two elements in artistic gymnastics, one on pommel horse[4] and one on parallel bars[5] are named after him.
Marian Drăgulescu (born December 18, 1980 in Bucharest)
is a Romanian artistic gymnast. During his senior gymnastics career he has won an impressive number of 26 medals at Olympic games, World or European Championships among which eight gold medals at World Championships. He excelled in vault and floor on which he was a multiple world champion and Olympic medallist. His name will remain the history of gymnastics not only because of his world titles on floor (2001, 2002, 2006, 2009) and vault (2001, 2005, 2006, 2009), but also because of the extremely spectacular and difficult vault named after him: handspring double front somersault with half turn.[1] He was also an excellent all around gymnast: On the all around event he is a European champion (2004) and a bronze medallist (2000), and placed 8th at the 2004 Olympic Games.
Flavius Koczi (b. August 26, 1987 in Reşiţa, Romania)
is a Romanian artistic gymnast.[1] He is a world silver medalist on vault and an ten-time European medalist (all around, pommel horse, vault, floor, and team). Koczi is the 2006 European champion on pommel horse, the 2011 European Champion on vault, and was one of the vault finalists at the 2008 Olympic Games.
