Since these issues are rarely seen, ithis one is offered as an example of the sales policy in the 1950-1960ss at least in small towns. If the copy were unsold after an agreed time, it could be returned by the merchant for credit. The vendor accepted the torn strip with the title and Vol. # etc instead of having merchant bear the mailing cost of the whole weight of the comic. Inside back cover is photographed instead of back cover. Cover has old and new scotch tape repairs.

I am not a dealer and therefore will make no attempt to grade the issue, but will merely describe it.The cover shows the strip missing. The cover has an open tear at the right side and at the spine area, and an open tear right side. Front cover corner is creased and there is edge wear and scuffing. The back cover has missing areas at top of spine and left edge. Scuffing and spine area wear. The back cover Colors are fairly bright, All pages present.and toning with age,.some small tears o& soiling. . This issue is slightly larger than more modern ones. Will be mailed in a plastic sleeve n(ot a regular comic book sleeve) in a cardboard mailer. Shipping weight first class is about 5 ounces. Domestic purchasers only.
