POSTAL HISTORY / COVERS in a small box, very interesting contents mostly lose but some on pages, of chiefly 1840's to 1930's covers & cards although some earlier & later includes such things as 1840 1d black on cover from London to Canterbury with manuscript 'Missent- to' and Ramsgate circular added alongside which also ties the stamp, plenty of other line-engraved frankings incl 1849 with four 1d red-brown imperfs, 1867 2d plate 9 on complex redirected London - Belfast - Dublin - London cover nicely written-up; surface-printed frankings incl used in Malta, plenty of overseas destinations incl sent to Rome with Italian postage dues; Kings incl mail to the Cape of Good Hope, temporary 'Skeleton' pmk, bisects, cancelled abroad, unusual wartime usage, extreme redirections, etc; postal stationery incl 1841 1d pink lettersheet overprinted 'SPECIMEN'.
