DESCRIPTION: Circa 1960s-70s divided back printed colour post card, titled on back: " THE NECK. " ,
Bruny Island, Southern Tasmania, Southern Australia. Descriptive text printed on back reads: On the east-
ern side of this strip of land is the great Southern Ocean, a part of which is Adventure Bay. On the
western side is Simpson Bay which opens into D'Entrecasteaux Channel. This channel was named
after the French Explorer, Bruni D'Entrecasteaux. Bruny was named after him. At the highest point
of the isthmus Bligh's Lookout is located, a memorial to Truganini, the last aboriginal in Tasmania.
